My hobbies:

I enjoy polishing and faceting precious stones, which earned me many new friends, in the US and overseas. Also, I once made a trip to the tourmaline and garnet mines in Minas Gerais state, Brazil. It was a very interesting adventure.
I also enjoy riding horses, and I even had once participated in training horses, dressage, and jumping.
When I have time, I enjoy crocheting, which I usually transform in sweaters for my daughter Carolina.
Recently I have been practicing the Brazilian martial art called Capoeira. A "ginga" - movements like dance at the sound of Black-African instruments called Berimbau and Atabaque - helps the players in their movements. Good exercise, and lots of fun.

Unhappily, my free time is quite restricted. However, hobbies make life more interesting and richer.

Hey! Hobbies are not all... My new research project, which will include my own personal experiences, is what is actually out of the ordinary. I consider this project my most special "hobby".
